Died in his home on S 8th Street Sunday AM. Was an old dweller in Manitowoc. Born 04/03/1823 at Heuderber, Prussia. Came to America 1853 and settled Manitowoc in December that year. 1854 moved to Sheboygan and married Amelia Poley on December 12. She preceded him in death 13 years. 1855 returned to Manitowoc and had saddle shop till 1872. Last years has laid corrpets(?) for Schuatte Bros, Co. Survived by 2 grown sons: Albert living here & Emil A who has been in Madison the last 2 years. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery this afternoon. #134
